Once you have had enough of naval history you can relax at nearby Gunwharf Quays, with designer outlets and waterfront bars and restaurants. Or, if you have a head of heights, why not take a trip to the top of the Spinnaker Tower, which stands 170 metres tall with viewing platforms up to 110m looking out over Portsmouth Harbour and surrounding area, it really is a sight not to be missed.
Should you wish to go further afield, West Wind Guest House is an excellent base from which to explore many famous attractions, from the Cathedral Cities of Salisbury, which boasts the highest church spire in Britain, Winchester home to the legendary Round Table and Chichester.
